Play Ball!

Today is baseball's opening day, which is a holiday in itself for my family and I.  Baseball and New York Yankees are a major part of my family.  Basically if you are not a Yankee fan, you are not considered family.  It is kind of just assumed that you will be a Yankee fan because from the moment a baby is brought into our family, they are bought Yankee tee's, Yankee onesies, Yankee bat and ball, Yankee toys and so on.  It is kind of sick, but we are all guilty of it.  Whenever I see anything Yankee related for a baby, I buy it for my nephew... I am turning into my mother!

Anyways, I love Yankee's Opening Day.  I wanted to go to the game, but it was just so darn expensive for tickets!  So instead I will watch the game from my computer in my little cubicle.  I am going to the game on Saturday with my best friends and ironically my dad and his friends are going to.

I love the Yankees so much because it reminds me of my loving family and all the memories we have created and laughed at during Yankee games.

Christmas 2009 - even my Christmas card had to be themed around the Yankees!

What is something you and all of your family have in common?

stalking at its finest

You what is the worst... but so funny at the same time... when you are on facebook and you click on the profile of a friend of a friend to realize you have a random mutual friend.  This just happened to me, and I am like “Whoa, how do these 2 people know each other?"  But I was clearly stalking and fell upon it by accident and would be completely random to ask either of the partied... I am literally cracking up in my cubicle right now because this is just too funny!

Has this ever happened to you?

Top of the Morning To Ya

I love Saint Patrick's Day, I love everything about it and I think this year's St. Patty's Celebration has been the best thus far!!!  It started on Saturday, March 5th at the Hoboken Parade with my home friends.  We lucked out and had a perfect sunny and warm day for the parade and day drinking!  We had a blast and had many laughs!
The next event was on the following weekend at NYC Saint Patty's Bar Crawl with my sorority sisters.  This was so much fun because I haven't seen some of these girls in months so it was great to catch up and celebrate my favorite holiday together.  Again, it was a warm sunny Saturday, perfect for day drinking and walking around the city.  It was full of laughs, at the last bar we went to we grabbed a table by the door so we could eat and relax.  Being by the door we were constantly disturbed by people entering or going, so I decided to make the best of it.  I became the bar's meet and greet and greet people as the entered and left.  It was hysterical!  Some people were so nice, some laughed, some were rude and some just did not get it.  But my friends and I were hysterical!

The next shenanigan was on actual Saint Patricks Day.  I went to work  and brought in Irish Soda Bread, which was the first time I ever made it!! Then after work, my four best friends and I met up for dinner and green beer.  It was a perfect ending to a perfect holiday with great friends and great laughs!

Silenced Laughs

First, I would like to apologize for my absence in blogging.  I'll be honest... I have been too busy celebrating my favorite holiday (HAPPY SAINT PATRICKS DAY …BY THE WAY).  But don't worry, there will be a great blog to follow after all my festivities are complete!

But moreover, there has not been much to laugh about with the disaster that struck Japan; My stomach hurts even writing these words.  My thoughts, prayers and love are with the people in Japan.  I can not even imagine what they are going through.

Numerous of my favorite blogs are participating in a day of silence started by the amazing blog, Utterly Engaged. They are asking all blogs to support to help fundraise for the disaster relief and to pay our respect to those who lost their lives in Japan.

I am honored to participate and help make a difference and you should too!  It’s sad that disasters have to make us realize how lucky we truly are. Please click here if you would like to donate and please click here for directions to participate.

I wish you ALL happy laughs!
