I never thought I would say this but I am so glad I am not a kid right now. As much as a social media addict that I am, I cannot imagine being in school with all that the internet has created at my fingertips. Having computers in high school was tough enough not to play tetris all day. I never thought these words "I am glad I am "OLD"" are coming out of my mouth. I love my life, where I am, and the woman I am becoming. Funny how things happen...

Ladies Night

I am lucky enough to have had the same friends since I was in elementary school. We understand one another and truly love each other as if we were actually sisters. I am very fortunate. We still get together for dinners often and  try out new things where we usually laugh our butts off!

Well last Saturday, we ventured off into the city to see an interactive off-Broadway play called "That Bachelorette Show," and boy did we laugh. The show is about a single girl looking for the man of her dreams. The 12 eligible bachelors work the crowd, and the audience ultimately gets to pick the man for the bachelorette. Now here is where the laughs come in... the bachelors were sterotypical NYC men: the doctor, the Navy man, the prince, the Italian Stalion, the musician, the cowboy, the surfer, the business man, the average Joe, the pilot, and even the lesbian.

It was so much fun, my friends and I really loved the prince (who ended up winning) and the average Joe because he gave me beef jerky to vote for him! However we had some fun encounters with other men, like Gionvani, the Italian Stalion, who whispered extremely inappropriate pick up lines in my ear that were hysterical because I knew he was acting.

This Friday Funny goes to my nephew who just turned 4 years old this week. He cracks me (and himself) up with his jokes. He gets so excited to share them that he doesn't wait for the punch line... its hysterical how excited he gets over telling a joke!

I have fallen in love with a little vine star, Terrio.  He is a little boy who dances pretty well.  Not only is his dancing amazing, but his cousins commentary are hysterical and will instantly make you laugh.

I am not going to lie, I have the best and funniest family.  Everyone in my family literally cracks me up laughing (well most of them).  Anywho, my sister got married in the fall.  I was the maid of honor and my 3 cousins were bridesmaids.  Now of these cousins, we are a group of 11: 10 girls and 1 boy.  The one boy is ironically the oldest therefore the first grandchild and therefore the king of the family.  So naturally at the wedding, we took our typical cousins picture.  We are a good looking group and our pictures are always great, but this picture is even better.  The photographer put the one boy cousin dead center in the front (did I mention he is also 6'3"") next to the baby cousin who is 12 years old.  She positioned him in manner where he sat up awkwardly tall and stands out next to us 10 girls.  The picture is hysterical; honestly I have this hung up in my cube and look at it whenever I need to laugh.  My boy cousin looks like buddy the elf in the little small classroom with the little elves next to us.

Girl Code

It seems as if my television watching has decreased recently, I don't know if it is because I am incredibly busy or maybe it is because there is nothing worth watching on television anymore.  Seriously what has happened with these shows today; I wish they would bring TGIF back... now that is something I would watch.

Anyways, my roommate got me hooked on probably the funniest show on MTV that really causing belly laughs.  It is called "Girl Code."  It is a spin off on MTV"s "Guy Code," and is really spot on.  The show discusses the everyday female problems being presented by famous and not so famous comedians.  It is hysterical and the cover things from what to eat on the first date to whether it is okay to poop at your boyfriend's house or not.  If you are a girl and not watching "Girl Code" you are missing out... get on it!

I do not think there is a funnier movie than "Pitch Perfect."  When ever I am having a lousy day or need to laugh, all I need to do is watch this movie.  It is beyond hysterical, and I think it is a movie enjoyed by all people of all ages.  It is going down in the books as a classic.  I love it so much that now I find myself quoting lines and listening to the songs as I run at the gym.  Here is a clip from the funny parts of the movie;

My Hot HOT summer

I hate being hot.  I love the sun, but need to be near a pool, ocean, or air conditioner to cool off while I enjoy the sun.  This past summer has been extreme, the heat is getting a tad bit obnoxious.  Not to mention I live in a beach house with other people taking up my cold air.  So everyone knows how cranky I am about the heat and sweating (which I call glistening), so they stay out of my way and keep me cool.  But in actuality, they really just make fun of me while I stand in the freezer or place ice cubs in my bathing suit.  So one of my good friends came across this video and emailed it to me on a hot summer day.  It was the perfect work break to watch and laugh in my cube.

 

This lady is so on point, I did not ask for this heat nor do I like it!  While she is a little extreme, it is hysterical to watch and laugh at.  PREACH woman!

I have a confession to make...

I am addicted to Robin Thicke's song "Blurred Lines." I have never had a song that makes me want to dance as much as this song does.  Word has it that it is the song of the summer for its catchy beats, and I can attest.  Every weekend at the beach, whether being in my house with roommates or at a bar with hundreds of people, when "Blurred Lines" comes on... places go crazy!

While I LOVE this song... the lyrics have become a huge debate in my beach house.  At one point in the song Robin Thicke proclaims, "what rhymes with hug me..." and then continues to laugh and sing.  Now this has caused huge debate because there are many things that in fact rhyme with hug me!  

I could not help but laugh when I read a Monday BuzzFeed article "18 Words Robin Thicke Should Know Rhyme With "Hug Me"".  I am glad I am not the only one confused and debating with people about what Robin Thicke actually means... I guess we will never know!

But what a better way to kick off Friday then my favorite weekend beat!  Enjoy!

Yesterday, July 4th, marked the 5th anniversary of my best friends and I tradition of never spending this holiday without one another.  5 years ago as underage 20 year olds, we made a pact to always be together on the 4th of July, because before that... we always were.

This was more than just a pact to be together on this holiday but for our friendship to one another.  I truly am blessed to have the best friends in the world.  I am so proud to proclaim that I have the same best friends for almost 20 years!  I have never met a group of people that make me laugh or laugh with me than they do.

I am traveling on business at the moment in the beautiful New Orleans, Louisiana.  I am super excited because I have never been here before and I am more excited I get to watch "True Blood" this Sunday in the setting of the show!  No funnies for now... but stay tuned... there are laughs to come!

Snap Chats

I do not know about you, but me and ALL my family and friends are pretty obsessed with snap chat.

I do not know what is more fun... making the snap chat or receiving the snap chat.  Because your contacts can only view the picture for only some odd seconds and no one will ever see the hideous picture again., people get pretty creative with their shots.

We are 25 years old and I snap chat with my college friends, high school friends, co-workers, and even my aunt.  It is hysterical and the highlight of my day to kind of see all my favorite people everyday!

Some of the pictures just make me laugh, and I am able to steal a screenshot to save the picture FOREVER.

As a new YouTube junkie, I have my favorite YouTube stars.  One "celeb" that will always make me laugh is  "Daily Grace."

For this week's Friday Funny I tried to find the best video that made me laugh the most... but all her videos make me laugh.  But her Tuesday comments may be the best.... Grace comments on all her social media comments and basically makes fun of her fans or as she likes to call it "hazes the crap out of it."  It is hysterical.

"I am a butterfly..."

This past weekend in my town, there was a seafood festival.  This s a BIG event in my town because it is amazing.  There is AMAZING food, great vendors, and just fun activities to do with family & friends.  This past Sunday, I went with my two best friends, Marissa and Kate.  Now if you could not tell by now, I am a really loud and funny person (or so I think).  I love making my family and friends laugh.

So as we were walking to the festival on this hot summer day, Kate dared me to get my face painted.  Being the crazy person I am, I said I would as long as there was not a line of kids waiting because then that would just be rude.

No lie, as soon as we stepped foot on the festival, face painting was the first booth I saw and guess what ... there was no line.  So Kate and Marissa pushed me to do it and how could I back out on a dare?!  So I sat down as a 25 year old next to a 6 year old and got painted to be a beautiful butterfly!

So as the day went on, we ended at the local bar, Djais and again I was dared to go in with my face painted, so I did it!  So many people wanted to be my friend and know where I got my face painted.  I had the time of my life, laughing, dancing, and drinking with my best friends as a beautiful butterfly.

Sniper Jenny

This past Friday, Kate and I got to our beach house first before all the other roommates.  Naturally, we were excited because it was our weekend.  We were ready for fun, sun, and laughs with our roommates.  I forgot that the weekend before I ordered our house a big garbage can from Amazon because we needed it.  So we took the new garbage can out together and were left with this big box!  

So what were we to do?! C'mon...have you met me?  

Now I am a short girl (only 5'2'') so Kate put me in the box and we waited for our roommates to arrive at the house for me to jump out and Kate to video tape it (or in this case vine it).  It became so much fun and one by one all of our roommates joined in on the fun!  

Below is the best scare I got... poor Lauren.  I felt so bad making her scream in freight as I did, but she laughs about it now.  And when you watch the video you will see and hear us all laughing.
