Have you laughed today?

I think it is super important to laugh everyday.  I know I am no doctor, but I think it is unhealthy if you do not laugh at least once a day.  Like the old saying, "an apple a day, keeps the doctor away," well I think "a laugh a day, keeps the doctor away."

It is a goal of mine to laugh everyday and make the people I am surrounded by to laugh at least once when I am with them.

I am going to start to track these laughs and share my findings every Sunday of the previous week.

I'd love to hear what made you laugh this week or how you made someone laugh.

Thankful Laughs

I am pretty sure every family does on Thanksgiving, but before anyone in my family can even eat a crumb of anything off the table we all go around the table and say what we are thankful for.  I have a huge, loud, Italian family; so this is a task in itself.  Most of the adults say they are thankful for our family, one of my uncles will say something sarcastic or stupid, one of my cousins will say beer or their cell phone and then my Pop-Pop will definitely say our family and usually makes us all cry.  It is a great moment and I am truly lucky to have this.  Yet we all cry together, the second we are all done saying what we are thankful for.  For that moment, it is probably the only time my family can be serious and then soon after laughter will begin while my dad tells one of his funny jokes or my Pop-Pop says something hysterical.
With Thanksgiving only four days away, I want to think of something clever to say this year as what I am thankful for.  Even though, I am thankful for my family and friends … that is too cliché and too typical in my family.
I am thankful for laughter.  I am thankful for the laughter that comes with my family and friends.  Because those are the 3 most important things to me in my life: family, friends and laughter.
What are you thankful for?

Things that are really funny...

Foot Wars.  I don't know if this is a made up game or if my sister, Ali, and I are just insane.  But when we were younger, we used to have foot wars.  Here is how you play.  It is a 2 player game, you lay on the couch and bend your legs enough to meet your feet in the middle.  The object of this game is to straighten your legs and make the opponents legs bent.  It is really hard and stupid, we usually just end up moving the couch.  I do not think anyone has actually ever won this game now that I think about it.  But Ali and I played this Wednesday night for the first time in what seemed years.  After playing for several minutes, I was knocked off the couch, and we immediately laughed because this is probably the dumbest game ever!  But no doubt, we will probably play again soon?

Has anyone ever played this or have any other dumb games that you play with your siblings?

Things that are really funny ...

Glee.  I am officially a Gleek!  I love Glee, it defiently is the highlight of my week; I look forward to Tuesdays because I can watch Glee and laugh my ass off!

My favorite character of Glee is Brittany.  I love her comments.  I used to go to the gym every week to watch Glee, but had to stop because I was laughing to much while I ran on the tredmill.  I don't know if you watch Glee , but I want to share classic Brittany quotes that made me laugh!  Here is some background informtion to the episode: Kurt's dad had a heart attack and Brittany wanted to provide the love and support to Kurt, this is how she  condoled her friend,

Brittany: I did a book report on heart attacks if you wanna give it to the doctor.
It got knocked down a whole grade because I did it in crayon.

Brittany: I made him a card that said 'heart attacks are just from loving too much.

Also Brittany cracks me up on twitter with her tweets. Today being Election Day(hope you voted!), @BritannyGLEE tweeted,

"I refuse to vote because we only have a 2-party system.
Candidates need to throw at least 5 parties before you really know where they stand."

Brittany's funny and random comments make my day and instantly make any day better and FULL of laughter!
